Crawler policy
About the pdfaudit crawler
pdfaudit is an automated crawler operated by Reologix, a Chicago-based company that checks public agency PDFs for accessibility problems under ADA Title II and WCAG 2.1 AA.
What it does
It visits publicly available pages on government websites, finds linked PDF documents such as agendas, minutes, budgets, and public notices, and inspects their internal structure to determine whether they can be read by screen readers.
What it does not do
- It does not submit forms, attempt logins, or access anything behind authentication.
- It does not collect personal information.
- It does not republish, resell, or redistribute your documents.
- It does not attempt to bypass any block, rate limit, or robots.txt rule.
How it identifies itself

Request rate
One request per second per site, maximum. Pages already fetched are cached, so repeat runs do not re-request them.
How to block it
pdfaudit obeys robots.txt. To exclude it entirely, add:
User-agent: pdfaudit
Disallow: /
Or email contact@reologix.com and we will remove your domain from our list within one business day. No explanation needed.
